I have been a registered Landscape Architect in Massachusetts for 20 years.
I am a member of the ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects),
and for the past several years I have worked as an independent consultant,
specializing in Residential Landscape Architecture.
My design process is driven by the following goals:
- Understand your lifestyle to create the landscape that meets your specific needs and objectives.
- Untangle your landscape, both visually and functionally, and create a more natural flow.
- Create a landscape that gives you beauty each season.
- Work within your budget.
I look for a simple idea or design that allows everything to fall comfortably into place. Ideas evolve around careful analysis of your program, existing site conditions, and existing architecture. An idea may originate from any one of these elements. However, I believe the best designs harmoniously integrate all three, and that is what I strive to accomplish.
Should your design goals exceed your budget, I can work with you to develop a budget and construction schedule that can be phased over time. Although I have preferred contractors in the Boston area whose workmanship I admire and recommend, I am also happy to work with someone of your choice.
